Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains what information the Data Insights Engine (“the Application”) collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

• Uploaded Files: When you use the Application, you may upload Excel (.xlsx) files. These files are processed to generate pivot tables and visualizations. The contents of your files are not stored or used for any purpose other than providing you with the requested analysis.

• Sheet and Data Selections: Information about your selected sheets and configuration options (such as rows, columns, and chart types) is used only to generate your requested reports and visualizations during your current session.

• AI Insights: If you use the AI assistant, your pivot table data and questions may be sent to an AI service provider (such as Google AI) for analysis and to generate insights. The data shared is limited to what is necessary for the AI to provide meaningful feedback.

• Exported Data and Reports: When you export or print reports, the generated files are created on demand and are not stored by the Application.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process and analyze the data you upload or input.

• To generate charts, pivot tables, and reports as requested by you.

• To provide AI-powered insights if you use the AI features.

• To improve the functionality and user experience of the Application.

 

3. Data Storage

• Uploaded files and data are processed temporarily in memory and are not stored or retained after your session ends.

• No user data is shared, sold, or used for advertising purposes.

• If you are using the hosted version of the Application, logs may be kept for debugging or security purposes but will not contain your uploaded data.

 

4. Third-Party Services

• The Application may use external AI services (such as Google AI) to provide insights. Only the minimum data required for analysis is sent, and these services are governed by their own privacy policies.

• If deployed on Firebase Hosting or similar platforms, please review their privacy policies as well.

 

5. Your Choices

• You may choose not to use certain features (such as AI insights) if you do not wish your data to be processed by third-party AI services.

• You may delete or clear uploaded files from your session at any time.

 

6. Security

• We take reasonable measures to secure your data during upload, processing, and export.

• However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

 

7. Changes to This Policy

• This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this site with the date of revision.
